Advocacy and Agency Relations

The Advocacy Committee’s purpose is to strengthen the voice of land trusts in the legislature and public agencies on issues of direct interest to land conservation.  It may use a variety of strategies to educate public officials, policy makers, and others on the values of land conservation. 

The Advocacy Committee will accomplish this as follows:

• The Coalition will offer position statements, which will contain either a statement of the extent of support by Coalition members or a disclaimer to the effect that the views expressed do not necessarily represent every member of the organization.
• The Coalition will prepare educational materials to distribute to public officials, policy makers and others.
• Members of the Coalition will represent the Coalition at public hearings and other events as deemed appropriate by the Board.

The NH Land Trust Coalition does not endorse political candidates or take positions on purely local matters.
